About Octane: Octane is a $1B Fintech company whose mission is to connect people with their passions. With a focus on the powersports market, Octane reaches riders through editorial brands such as Cycle World and UTV Driver, and helps consumers buy their favorite vehicles with instant, frictionless financing.
I joined Octane in 2019 as the first designer to manage all marketing creative. Since then, our team has grown and we’ve leveled up the brand several times. The main pillars of the brand are the technology, finance, and the enthusiasts that make up what Octane does.
The visual brand balances these concepts with straightforward visualizations of complex processes, exciting powersports imagery, and consistent colors and branded experiences. The slides to the right were done in collaboration with Jon Maupin.
The website is currently undergoing a wholistic redesign so the current homepage and subsequent pages don’t reflect a finished product. The pages beyond the homepage however are recently designed.
